VAAGDHARA is a civil society organization working with more than 100,000 indigenous farming families of above 1000 villages in adjoining areas of Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, and Gujarat. For more than 2 decades, following the Swaraj philosophy, VAAGDHARA has been making efforts on the three major thrusts viz. True Farming (focus on food and farming sovereignty), True Childhood (community-based child protection and child rights initiatives) and True Governance (reaching the most marginalized, ensuring their entitlements and participation in the governance). Being accredited with the Special Consultative Status from UN-ECOSOC, VAAGDHARA also amplify the aspirations and concerns of the indigenous communities on global platforms and strive to bring attention to the invaluable locally available solutions practiced by the indigenous communities, contributing towards attainment of the SDGs.
