The Shola Trust is a non-profit conservation organisation in the Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve of South India. Based in Gudalur, at the edge of the Mudumalai Tiger Reserve, it was set up in 2007 to promote human-inclusive models of nature conservation, inspired by the unique high altitude sholas of the Nilgiris and its people. They are committed to preserving indigenous knowledge, practices, and beliefs relevant to conservation, working closely with local communities to integrate this traditional wisdom into conservation.
