About the Role
WRI India is hiring a Geospatial Manager for its Ross Centre for Sustainable Cities GeoAnalytics team. This role involves leading data-driven analyses and developing insights for sustainable urban infrastructure solutions.
Location: Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore
Duration: 1 year (extendable based on performance)
Start Date: As soon as possible
Responsibilities:
Project Coordination
- Collaborate across sectors to assess project needs, scope, and ensure timely execution.
- Mentor the analytics team on geospatial analyses and spatial modeling.
Research & Analysis
- Conduct data exploration, quantitative research, and deliver analytical insights.
- Provide geospatial analyses and visualisation support to teams and partners.
Technical Support & Outreach
- Manage complex data assets and execute spatial modeling.
- Develop scripts in Python and Google Earth Engine for data acquisition and analysis.
- Contribute to research outputs such as peer-reviewed articles, papers, and blog posts.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Geography, Environmental Science, Geomatics, or related fields.
- 7+ years of relevant experience in the geospatial industry.
- Proficiency in GIS software (ESRI ArcGIS, QGIS, etc.) and programming (Python, R, JavaScript).
- Experience with spatial analysis, Google Earth Engine, and data handling (OpenStreetMap, remote sensing).
- Knowledge of business tools like Tableau/PowerBI and predictive modeling techniques.
- Cloud computing and web development experience are added advantages.
Salary and Benefits:
Salary: ₹15,00,000 to ₹18,00,000 CTC (commensurate with experience).
