About the Role
Designation: Research Intern
Team/ Focus Area: Technology Futures / Geothermal Project
Reporting To: Fellow and Director, Strategic Partnerships
Location: New Delhi, India
Duration: 6 months
Project Title: Future of Geothermal in India
Responsibilities
Research and Analysis
- Conduct comprehensive research on geothermal energy and related areas.
- Analyse country-wise data on geothermal energy, including diplomatic collaborations, agreements, and joint projects.
- Identify risks and opportunities for India’s geothermal energy potential.
- Synthesize research findings into structured reports and briefing notes for policymakers and stakeholders.
- Contribute to other research areas within the team, such as critical mineral supply chains and clean energy manufacturing.
- Software and Tools Required: Basic knowledge of Microsoft 365.
Programme Assistance
- Assist with programme structuring and project implementation, including preparing presentations, factsheets, and other communication materials.
- Contribute to reports and research products as part of the research team.
- Attend meetings with stakeholders, prepare minutes, and assist with follow-ups.
- Help organise webinars, workshops, and roundtables as part of outreach activities.
Selection Criteria
Qualification
- Recently passed or currently pursuing a Bachelor’s (3rd year onwards) / Master’s degree.
- Excellent communication skills and experience in Metallurgy, Minerals, Mining, Chemical sector, or related fields.
- Candidates with a background in public policy or related fields with 0–1 year of research experience will also be considered.
