The School of Environment and Sustainability (SES) at the Indian Institute for Human Settlements (IIHS), along with its Long-term Urban Ecological Observatory (LTUEO), is dedicated to the sustainable transformation of human settlements. It focuses on the social-ecological-technical systems that shape urban environments in response to challenges like urbanisation and climate change. The SES and LTUEO engage in cutting-edge research, education, and practical solutions for complex environmental and sustainability challenges, particularly in the rapidly urbanising Indian context.

About the Role

IIHS is looking for a Project Manager for a project focused on the restoration and conservation of freshwater habitats in urban and peri-urban Bengaluru. This role involves field monitoring, laboratory analysis, GIS and remote sensing (RS) analysis, designing and conducting field experiments, and organising capacity-building workshops for stakeholders. The position is contractual for 11 months, with the possibility of renewal based on mutual agreement.
