About the Role
Role: Monitoring & Evaluation Officer (2 Positions)
Location: Vidarbha & Ch. Sambhajinagar, Maharashtra
The role involves developing and implementing a comprehensive M&E framework, ensuring effective data collection, analysis, and reporting to measure project performance. The officers will contribute to research, assessments, and continuous improvement of project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Monitoring & Evaluation
- Develop and implement an M&E framework and reporting system to track project performance at all levels (outcome, output, and activity).
- Design and revise M&E tools and data collection procedures.
- Define and guide project indicators, targets, and performance monitoring plans.
- Collect baseline data and ensure systematic integration of quality dimensions into the M&E framework.
Data Management & Reporting
- Develop an automated information management system and dashboard for real-time project tracking.
- Collect, validate, and analyze project data to measure performance against indicators.
- Ensure data quality, reliability, and integrity through regular quality checks.
- Maintain and update the MIS platform to ensure easy access to M&E data.
- Assist the Regional Manager in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
- Support compliance with reporting requirements and contribute to briefing materials on project performance.
Research & Analysis
- Coordinate and conduct thematic assessments and project evaluations.
- Analyze project progress, challenges, and lessons learned to guide implementation improvements.
- Conduct spot-checks, mid-term evaluations, and research studies related to project delivery.
- Extract key insights from monitoring and assessments for course correction.
Other Responsibilities
- Collaborate with WOTR’s head office in Pune to ensure adherence to M&E standards.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Regional Manager within the scope of the role.
Education
- Master’s degree in Statistics, Sociology, Agricultural Economics, Development Studies, Rural Development, Anthropology
- OR a Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Technology, Civil Engineering
- OR a Postgraduate Diploma in Development Management
Work Experience
- Minimum 3 years in M&E system design and implementation in the development sector.
- At least 2 years in research, evaluation design, reporting, and knowledge management.
- Experience in setting up and maintaining information and data management platforms.
- Proficiency in quantitative and qualitative data analysis using tools such as Power BI, Looker Studio, Tableau, and Excel/Google Sheets.
- Experience with SPSS, STATA is an added advantage.
