Where: Bangalore International Centre, Bengaluru
This event features a special screening of Driving Elephants, a 26-minute film in English (with subtitles) set across Bannerghatta, Cauvery, and Mysore. The documentary explores how fragmented forests, monocultures, and urban expansion drive biodiversity loss and intensify human-elephant conflict. The film follows male elephants as they navigate both wild and human spaces, facing unique dangers and intense survival challenges each day.
With over 730 human and 336 elephant deaths annually linked to conflict, Driving Elephants calls for empathy, equitable solutions, and shared space in our landscapes. Attendees are invited to reflect on the possibility of coexistence between people and elephants.
