Slam Out Loud

Founded by Harvard & National University of Singapore Alumni, Slam Out Loud (SOL) transforms Arts Education and Socio-Emotional Learning for children in underserved communities. Using poetry, storytelling, visual arts, and theatre, we build Creative Confidence in children while exploring social justice issues like climate and gender.

Our Jijivisha Fellowship operates in Delhi, Pune, Mumbai, and Bangalore, placing artists in classrooms, with 75% of children showing annual competency growth in SEL skills. SOL’s at-scale program, Arts for All, with the state governments of Punjab and Maharashtra, creates a contextual arts-based SEL curriculum for the weekly arts period and trains teachers on implementation. Since 2017, SOL has impacted 300,000 children in person and reached ~10.5 million digitally.

Our work has been recognized by the OECD, World Bank, The LEGO Foundation, and UNESCO, and our partners include UNICEF, Girl Rising, HP, and Rainmatter Foundation.
